Car rental websites

Websites for car and motorbike rental shops. Each vehicle has its own page with the daily rate, the deposit, the insurance and the excess. Renters pick the dates and the pick-up point, the booking request lands in your LINE, and you confirm the car is free. Every page comes in Thai and in English for visitors.

Renters want to know what they’ll really pay

Visitors compare rental shops on their phones, and the daily rate is never the whole bill. There’s the deposit, the insurance excess, delivery, the fuel rule and the charge for a late return. When the site leaves those out, renters ask on LINE anyway, or find out at the counter and say so in a review.

A page for each vehicle

Photos of your actual car, the seats, the gearbox, luggage space, fuel type, and the daily, weekly and monthly rates.

Prices by season

A table of high and low season rates with the dates they apply. The price in the booking confirmation is the final one.

Pick-up and return points

The airport, your shop or a hotel drop-off, with the delivery fee for each zone and the hours at each point.

The 2025 rental contract rules

According to the Office of the Consumer Protection Board (opens in a new tab), a Contract Committee notice issued in 2025 has made car and motorbike rental a contract-controlled business since 30 December 2025. It’s the first time car rental has come under contract control.

At a briefing in November 2025 (opens in a new tab), the office gave examples of complaints it had received: deposits or prepaid rent kept when the renter did nothing wrong, contracts cancelled without good reason, and no replacement when a vehicle broke down. So a contract under the notice has to include the following.

Car and motorbike rental contract

  • Thai, in plain words, with no hidden conditions
  • Details of the vehicle being rented
  • What the business and the renter each have to do
  • The rental period, and where the vehicle is handed over and returned
  • The rent and how it’s paid
  • Every cost, fine and fee
  • When a replacement vehicle is provided

Not allowed in the contract

  • Terms that limit the business’s liability
  • Terms that let it keep the deposit or cancel unfairly

We write the price page, the rental terms page and the booking confirmation on your site to match the contract your shop actually uses. The English version helps visitors understand it, but the contract the notice requires is the Thai one. This summarises the OCPB’s announcements and isn’t legal advice; check the notice itself with the OCPB or a lawyer before you use a contract.

Booked on the site, confirmed by you

The form asks for the pick-up point, pick-up and return times, the vehicle, a name and a way to reach them on LINE, WhatsApp or phone, plus a flight number for airport pick-ups. It goes to your LINE, and your staff check the car is free and explain how to pay the deposit in the chat.

No passport copies on the form

Passport and licence copies are personal data, and the PDPA says to collect no more than you need. Check them at pick-up, and say on the site how long you keep them.

Booking deposits

You send a PromptPay QR in the chat once the car is confirmed. Card payment on the site with a live availability calendar is Custom work.

Motorbike rentals

A section of its own, saying how many helmets come with the bike and that renters need a motorcycle licence.

Packages and prices

The build is a one-off payment. Each vehicle model with its own page counts as one page.

Questions rental shops ask us

Do we need a full online booking system?

For a small fleet, a request form confirmed on LINE is enough. A live availability calendar and card payments are Custom work. If your rental software already has a booking page, we can link to it or embed it.

Can we use the manufacturer’s photos?

Best not. Those photos belong to the manufacturer and usually show a top-spec model that isn’t your car. Renters want to see the car they’ll actually drive.

High and low season prices differ. How do we show them?

A price table by date range, with the date it was last updated underneath, and a line saying the price in the booking confirmation is the one that applies.

Visitors ask about driving licences. What should we say?

List the documents you ask for at pick-up in English, such as a passport, a licence and an international driving permit if you require one. We write exactly what your shop and your insurer ask for.

Should the site explain the deposit?

Yes: the amount, how you take it, when it comes back and what can be deducted. Unfairly kept deposits are one of the complaints the OCPB names.

We charge to deliver to hotels. How does that go on the site?

A delivery table by zone, such as the old city, Nimman or out of town, with the hours you deliver, so renters see the fee before they book.

We rent cars and motorbikes. Can both go on one site?

Yes, as two sections, each with its own prices, deposit and terms. The 2025 notice covers cars and motorbikes alike.

What should the site say about breakdowns?

The number or LINE to use during the rental, how many hours a replacement takes, and who pays for what in each case. The notice requires the contract to set out replacement terms, so the site should say the same.

Send your fleet, your prices and your Facebook or Google Maps link in a chat, and we’ll tell you which kind of site suits the number of vehicles and pick-up points you have.
